Harbey Fanshier, 87, died Thursday, Feb. 24, at Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born Feb. 7, 1924, at Stafford County, the son of Charles and Martha (Fischer) Fanshier.
EDMOND, Okla. - Elsie Keil Herber, 95, died on Feb. 16, at Edmond, Okla. She was born Dec. 5, 1915, at Galatia, the daughter of Benjamin and Bertha Strecker Keil. She grew up and attended school in the Galatia, Milberger area. She worked for many years as a housekeeper in Russell. On May 9, 1970, she married Raymond Herber and they resided in Wilson, until his death on November 14, 1992. After his death, she moved to Edmond, Okla. to be close to her son and his family.
GREAT BEND - William "Bill" Feist, 78, died Feb. 23 at Great Bend Regional Hospital. He was born May 2, 1932 near Sts. Peter and Paul Church, Barton County, the son of Conrad and Viola (Liebl) Feist.
LARNED -Jaxson Douglas Snodgrass, infant son, died Feb. 22, 2011, at Hays Medical Center, Hays.
LARNED - Lloyd George Lewis, 92, known to many friends and family as "Bus," died Monday afternoon at Hays Regional Medical Center, after suffering a heart attack earlier in the day. Lloyd would have been 93 April 27. The previous Saturday Lloyd had driven to his son's and daughter-in-law's homes to watch his favorite team, the Kansas Jayhawks, play the Colorado Buffaloes.
MCPHERSON - Virginia Edna Marx, 85, died Feb. 21 at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born Oct. 14, 1925.

HAYS – Alex Fredrick Bisterfeldt, age 90, died Monday, Feb. 21, 2011, at the Hays Good Samaritan Center, Hays,. He was born May 21, 1920, in rural Ellsworth County to Carl and Dorothea (Funk) Bisterfeldt. He married Theresa (Short) on Oct.26, 1946, at Hays. She died Septe. 9, 2000.
Kent Darrell Hoss, 57, died Feb. 20 at Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center after a three battle with cancer. Born June 29, 1953 in Great Bend, he was the son of Paul and Dorothy Alice (Hall) Hoss. A resident of Great Bend most of his life, he was a carpenter and roofer.
George Franklin Trimmer III, 63, of Great Bend died Feb. 19 at Great Bend Regional Hospital. Born Jan. 22, 1948, in Council Bluffs, Ia. he was the son of George and Edna Law Trimmer. He served in the Navy from November 1965 to February 1968 with honorable discharge. He was stationed on the recovery ship, the Gemini Ten, and picked up the space capsule in July of 1966. ELLINWOOD – Doretta W. Richardson, 89, died Monday, Feb. 21, 2011, at Cherry Village Nursing Home in Great Bend. Born Oct. 10, 1921, at Gorham, she was the daughter of John and Clara Warehime Small. She married Melvin Richardson III June 24, 1938, at Russell. He died April 4, 1999.

WICHITA - Josephine "Marie" French, 83, died Feb. 16 at Life Care Center in Andover. She was born March 2, 1927 in Fariview.
LARNED - Eileen F. Throckmorton, beloved mother and dedicated wife, went to be with her Lord on Feb. 19, at her home in Wichita. Eileen was born in Yukon, Okla., on Sept. 20, 1919, to Harry and Frances Bunch. She spent her life devoted to the Lord's work and to her family. She attended college at El Reno Junior College in El Reno, Okla., currently known as Redlands College. CHASE - Donald Mark Oberle Sr., 66, passed away Aug. 11, at his home in Chase. Born July 3, 1948, in Great Bend, he was the son of George J. and Florentine L. (Kimpler) Oberle. A lifelong resident of Chase, he was a pipe-liner in the petroleum industry. On Dec. 23, 2002, he married Debbie (Gilley) in Great Bend. She survives of the home.
