Laurence E. “Larry” Bryant 1924-2011
Laurence E. "Larry" Bryant, 86, died June 6 at Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born Sept. 29, 1924 at Wellsford the son of Ricord "T. R." and Pearl (Lee) Bryant and the brother of Bill Bryant and Kay Mauch, all of whom preceded him in death.
Deloris M. Steuri-McDowell 1929-2011
Deloris M. Steuri-McDowell, 82, died June 3, at home in Great Bend. She was born April 27, 1929, at Redwing, the daughter of Edward E. and Mary (Feltes) Klusener. She married Robert "Bob" McDowell July 18, 1951, at Great Bend. They later divorced and she married Orren Steuri Jan. 4, 1967, at Great Bend. He died August 15, 1977. She then re-married Robert McDowell. He died July 7, 2005.
Warren “Swanee” Oliver Johnson 1921 - 2011
ELLINWOOD - Warren "Swanee" Oliver Johnson, 90, died June 4 at Country Place Senior Living in Ellinwood. Born May 27, 1921 in Ellinwood, he was the son of Edward John Johnson and Della Unruh. He graduated from the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colo. A longtime resident of Ellinwood, formerly of Oklahoma and Texas, he was an independent petroleum geologist. On Sept. 13, 1948 he married Helen Dowdy in Phoenix, Ariz. She died on Sept. 12, 2009.
