ST. JOHN - Joyce S. Zook , 94, died May 18, at Leisure Homestead in St. John. Born Nov. 7, 1916, in rural Pawnee County, she was the daughter of Leonard Snowberger and Nellie Talbott. A lifetime resident of Pawnee County, she was a homemaker. On Feb. 11, 1940, she married Daniel W. Zook, at Larned. He died Oct. 12, 1962.

STERLING - Rodney "Beebe" Harrison, 92, died May 14 at Promise Regional Medical Center in Hutchinson. Born Sept. 28, 1918 in rural Sterling, he was the son of Benjamin and Christena Groth Harrison. In 1937, he graduated from Alden High School. He married Viola "Dolly" Fimple on March 9, 1942 in Sterling. A lifetime resident of Rice County he was a lifetime farmer living at the same place he was born for 82 years.

She was a homemaker and a 25-year employee of USD 350 St. John – Hudson Schools, working in the kitchen. On May 15, 1946, she married Edward A. Wondra. He died Aug. 14, 2000.

On Jan. 22, 1956 he married Sondra G. 'Sandy' Strait. She preceded him in death on May 4, 1997. On July 4, 2001 he married Mary Ann 'Frostie' (Frost) Russell, she survives.

A lifetime area resident she was a farmwife and an occupational therapist for the Larned State Hospital for 25 years.
