ENTERPRISE - Robert Leroy Reynolds, 47, of Enterprise, formerly of Great Bend, died Sept. 19, 2011, at Memorial Health Systems in Abilene.
GREAT BEND - Ryan Joseph Bealer, 21, died Sept. 20, 2011 at Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center, Topeka.
ELLINWOOD - Harold Edward Boepple, 70 died Sept. 19 at St. Francis Via Christi Hospital in Wichita. He was born Oct. 29, 1940 in Great Bend, the son of Ed and Dorothy Roelse Boepple. A lifetime Ellinwood resident, he was an oilfield worker at Weatherford Services, retiring in 1998. He graduated in 1959 from Ellinwood High School. He was also co-owner of G&H Insurance in Great Bend.
Gladys M. Bloodworth, 92, died Sept. 19 at River Bend Assisted Living in Great Bend. Born June 18, 1919 in Carmi, Ill., she was the daughter of Daniel and Minnie A. (Argo) Hucker. On March 28, 1937, she married Orval R. Bloodworth in Carmi, Ill. He died on July 27, 1978. A resident of Great Bend since 1952, she was a seamstress at Marlett Homes, retiring in 1980.
CLAFLIN - Albert H. Soeken, 96, died Sept. 17 at Woodhaven Care Center in Ellinwood. Born Dec. 19, 1914 in Barton County, he was the son of Henry and Anna (Lubinus) Soeken. On May 7, 1941, he married Viola Knop in Ellinwood. She died in September, 1999. A lifetime resident of Claflin, he was a farmer. He was a Dekalb seed dealer.
ESTES PARK, Colo. - A graveside service will be held for former resident Jerri Robinson who died on May 20 in Estes Park, Colo. The service will take place at 3 p.m. on Saturday at Hillcrest Cemetery in Great Bend. In the event of inclement weather, the service will take place at First Presbyterian Church in Great Bend. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Estes Valley in care of the funeral home.
DIGHTON - Beverly Ann Moomaw, 73, died Sept. 16 at Via Christi Regional Medical Center-St. Francis campus in Wichita. Born Jan. 1, 1938 in Meade, she was the daughter of Berend H. and Hazel Ruby (Hill) Cordes. In 1956, she graduated from Meade High School and attended Emporia State University for one year. LARNED - Tina Louise Phillips-Marler, 46, passed away Sept. 13, 2011, at her daughter's home in Larned. She was born Oct. 20, 1964, in Sparta, Ill.; the daughter of Stanley Stanko, Charles Sylvester and Judith Ann Carlyle Marler. A Larned resident since 1984, moving from Scott City; she worked in Dietary at the Larned State Hospital and also various restaurants.

LARNED - Dale Otte, 76, passed away Oct. 17, at the Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. Born Jan. 4, 1938, in Great Bend, he was the son of Wilmer and Leah Dorfshaffer Otte. A longtime area resident he was a farmer/stockman. On Sept. 16, 1956, he married Karen Rice in Great Bend. She survives.

PAWNEE ROCK - Laura Jean Miller, 86, passed away Oct. 9, at her home in Pawnee Rock. Born June 19, 1928, in Salt Lake City, Utah, she was the daughter of Horace B. and Laura Crawford Rogers. On April 28, 1992, she married Edward W. Miller in Littleton, Colo. He passed away on Nov. 27, 2008. She was a homemaker.

John was born in Ashtabula, Ohio on May 23, 1933, and worked briefly in the Merchant Marines before beginning a distinguished career in the industrial gas business. Beginning with a hydrogen plant in Painesville, Ohio in 1957, John was involved in a number of national and international helium projects where he earned a reputation as the foremost expert in the production of helium. RUSSELL - Richard Henry Dumler, 88, found peace on Oct. 14, after a long battle with multiple illnesses. At the time of his death, he lived at Rose Estates assisted living in Overland Park. Born on April 19, 1926, in Russell, he was the son of Henry and Agnes Dumler. His mother later married Ted Gariepy. He attended high school in Russell, where he was a sports star. There he met cheerleader Betty Joanne Kilian. He entered the service in 1944, serving in the United States Army Air Force until 1945. He married Betty Jo on June 1, 1947.

Reymundo Martinez, 27, passed away on Oct. 11, at Great Bend Regional Hospital. Born on Dec. 29, 1986, in Garden City, he was the son of Martin Martinez and Lupe (Rubio) Martinez. He moved to Great Bend, at an early age and worked construction with his godfather, Arturo Escamilla.

Born Jan. 13, 1964, in Ransom, she was the daughter of Donald and Ruby (Armer) Popp. She attended elementary school at Pawnee Rock, and in 1982, graduated from Hoisington High School. WICHITA - Bashor, C. LeRoy, 74, passed away on Oct. 11. He was a proud Vietnam veteran serving 10 years in the United States Navy. Following the military he graduated Fort Hays State University with a master's degree in psychology. He was a retired school psychologist for USD 428 in Great Bend.
Nadine Dreiling, 81, died Oct. 10, at Hays Medical Center. Born June 25, 1933, in Neck City, Mo., she was the daughter of George and Vera (Sargent) Moore. On Oct. 2, 1954, she married Donald A. Dreiling in Chase. He died on Nov. 11, 2010. A resident of Great Bend since 1954, coming from Chase, she and her husband owned and operated Don's Food Mart and she retired from Dillon's Pharmacy. She loved her grandchildren and watching sports, especially the University of Kansas Jayhawks and New York Yankees.
WINFIELD - Donald M. "Don" Kline, 87, of Winfield, passed away on Oct. 11, at Cumbernauld Village. Born Aug. 29, 1927, in Wichita, he was the son of Arthur C. and Martha H. (Harris) Kline. He was raised and educated in the Marion and Great Bend areas. Don left school prior to graduation to join the United States Navy. He proudly served his country on the USS Monrovia as a Medical Corpsman from 1945 until his honorable discharge in 1949. HOISINGTON - George L. Carson, 71, died Aug. 30, at Clara Barton Hospital. Born July 18, 1943 in Great Bend, he was the son of Russell and Pearl (Smith) Carson. On March 3, 1967, he married Gloria Newell in Damar. He was a graduate of Fort Hays State University. A lifetime resident of rural Barton County, he was employed by the Kansas Fish and Game Commission as a biologist.
