Michelle Jean Steinert, age 56, lost a three-year fight with cancer at 10:40 p.m. Thursday, July 19, 2012, in her home surrounded by the pride and joy of her life – her five grown children. She was born July 22, 1955, in El Dorado, Kansas, the daughter of Darrell Bellew and Mary Pickett.
HOISINGTON - Ryan J. Booth, age 28, died Thursday, July 19, 2012 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas. He was born October 26, 1983 at Hoisington the son of Randy and Rebecca Sue (Martin) Booth.
YORK, Neb. - Harold C. Newsome, 73, of York, Neb. died July 16 at the Grand Island Veterans' Home in Grand Island. Born July 19, 1938 in Ellsworth, he was the son of Cecil and Gertrude Newsome. In 1962 he moved to York, Neb. He married Karen Epke in January of 1968 in Grand Island, Neb. The couple made their home in York, Neb.
Gwen N. Hipp, 64, died as a result of an automobile accident north of Great Bend July 11. Born on August 17, 1947 at Hutchinson, she was the daughter of Byron Ray and M. Gladys (Brown) Glaze. She graduated from Larned High School in 1966, then attended college at Fort Hays State College in Hays for one year.
WICHITA -- Robert J. Weaver, D.V.M., 90, died July 12, at Via Christi St. Francis Regional Medical Center, Wichita, Kan. Born April 24, 1922 at Burlington, Kan., he was the son of Samuel David and Elizabeth Moss (George) Weaver.
PARKERVILLE - Sandra Dee McKenzie, 49, of Parkerville, died July 13 at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka. Born June 19, 1963, in Kansas City she was the daughter of Guy and Beverley (Dwyer) Werle. On Oct. 27, 2001 she married Eric McKenzie. She was employed by the Geary County Sheriffs Department in Junction City, as an Administrative Assistant.
HUTCHINSON - Glenda L. Ensz, 85, went to be with her Lord on July 12 at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. Born March 3, 1927 on the family farm near Inman, she was the daughter of Henry E. and Mabel A. (Ball) Hassman. On April 18, 1948 she married Harold D. Ensz in Hutchinson. He went to be with his Lord on March 3, 1998. She retired from Hubco after 11 years of service. Glenda loved to sew and make things for others.
