LARNED - Keith Eugene Rolo, 84, died Dec. 9 at Pawnee Valley Community Hospital, Larned. He was born Jan. 18, 1926, at Larned, the son of Francis and Mary Bowman Rolo. A longtime resident of Pawnee County, he was a retired farmer and custom harvester. He was a graduate of Zook High School class of 1943.
Beth C. Schneider, 90, of Great Bend, died Dec. 10 at Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born Sept. 26, 1920, at La Crosse, the daughter of Chester H. and Ollie V. (Butler) Crotinger. She married William C. Schneider Jan. 24, 1949, at Rush County. He died July 10, 1962. A Great Bend resident since 1992, coming from Rush County, she was a homemaker.
HILL CITY - Alberta May Edwards, 91, died Dec. 9 at Dawson Place Nursing Home. She was born July 23, 1919, at Omaha, Neb., the daughter of Charles E. and Wilma (Barnett) Bratton. She married Cleophas John Edwards March 28, 1947. A longtime Hill City resident, she was a homemaker.
LARNED - Eric Rulon Colglazier, 61, died Dec. 7, at Hays Medical Center. He was born May 3, 1949, in Great Bend, the son of Harlan Dean and Jadene Eva Stickler Colglazier. A lifetime Pawnee County resident, he was a registered nurse for Larned State Hospital.
REDFIELD, Iowa - Alan E. Nordman, of Redfield and formerly of Great Bend, passed away suddenly at home Dec. 6. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Great Bend. Family will greet friends for an hour before services. Visitation and prayer services were to be held Wednesday at McCalley Funeral Home in Adel, Iowa.

MISSION VIEJO, CALIF. - Eleanor Kaiser, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away Nov. 21 in Mission Viejo, Calif. She was 88 years old. Eleanor was born March 11, 1922, on a farm near Kenmare, N.D., the daughter of Joseph and Sarah (Rud) Engeberg.
LARNED - Arlene Velma Avery, 91, died Dec. 7 at Great Bend Regional Hospital. She was born Jan. 6, 1919, in Rush County, the daughter of Emil K. and Antoinette Vesecky Kaufman. A lifetime Pawnee county resident, she was a Homemaker.
Kathryn Elaine Kimbrough, 54, of Great Bend, died Dec. 6 at her home. She was born Oct. 24, 1956, at Syracuse, the daughter of Loren and Peggy (Johnson) Thompson. She married Ronald Kimbrough on April 3, 1973, in Syracuse. She was a Kansas native with ties to California.
CLAFLIN - Martina M. Luebbers, 92, died Dec. 5 at Kansas Heart Hospital, Wichita. Born March 17, 1918, at Marienthal, she was the daughter of Martin and Anna (Lauber)Younger. She married Joseph Luebbers on May 3, 1949, at Hoisington. He died March 15, 1977. A longtime Claflin resident, coming from Hoisington, she was a homemaker and the Claflin librarian from 1971 to 1988.
PRATT - Basil L. "Bud" McManaman, 88, died Dec. 6 at South Wind Hospice in Pratt. He was born June 10, 1922, in Pratt, to Basil and Iva (Greenstreet) McManaman. He married Margaret Lou Patton in 1945, and a daughter, Candy was born to this union. She preceded him in death in 1948. He married Pauline Lawrenz on May 26, 1954, at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Pratt. She survives.
RAYMOND – Gladys G. Boy Starr, 82, died Dec. 5 at her Raymond residence. She was born Dec. 18, 1927, at Raymond, the daughter of Adolph and Nora Marie Gordon Boy. She married H. Allison Starr Dec. 20, 1946, at Colby. He died July 3, 1981. She was a lifetime Raymond resident and a homemaker. She graduated from Raymond High School and attended Kansas State University.
HUTCHINSON - Valerie Ann "Corky" Miller, 51, died Dec. 3 at Promise Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson. She was born Feb. 14, 1959, at Larned, the daughter of Glenn A. and Patricia Ann (Ratliff) Miller.
NATOMA - Dean E. Wineland, 93, of Natoma, died Dec. 4 at the Rooks County Health Center in Plainville. Dean was born on Aug. 25, 1917, in Natoma, the son of Eugene and Louise (Miller) Wineland. He grew up, attended school and spent most of his life in the Natoma area. He met, fell in love and was united in marriage to Marjorie Rinearson on Sept. 9, 1942 in Russell. SHERWOOD SHORES, Texas - Eva Mae Skinner, 88, died on Nov. 7, at Sherwood Shores (Lake Texoma), Texas. She was born on Jan. 9, 1926, in Great Bend, one of eight children of Isaac William and Ethel (Booze) Root. Her parents operated a feed and poultry store on Main Street in Great Bend. Pauline Wagner, 90, died Nov. 9, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. Born Dec. 27, 1923, in Ellis, she was the daughter of Joe and Agatha (Gaschler) Weber. She married Gilbert Aloysius Orth Sr. He later died. On Sept. 13, 1968, she married Daylon John Wagner in Cheyenne Wells, Colo. He died on March 26, 1994. A Great Bend resident since 1969, coming from Hays, she was a beautician.
Irvin E. Burton, 87, passed away on Sunday morning, Nov. 9, at his home in Great Bend. Born on July 29, 1927, in rural Hoisington, he was the son of Walter and Myrtle (Bradshaw) Burton. On Sept. 24, 1988 he was united in marriage to Betty Jo Byerly in Great Bend. Irvin was a route salesman for Dr. Pepper, Schlitz Beer, and Guy's Potato Chips for many years until his retirement, and worked several part-time jobs after he retired. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, antique John Deere tractors, and he dearly loved his dog, Molly.
