SALINA - Steve E. Campbell, 63, Salina, went to be with his Lord on Feb. 18. He was born April 20, 1947 in Stafford, the son of Edward and Betty (Bates) Campbell. He was an Air Force Vietnam Veteran and worked for R & A Auto Electric and WPM Pathology Lab and was a member and elder of Belmont Blvd. Christian Church. Steve was a pilot and loved to fly, loved his 55 Pontiac and loved spending time with his family.

ELLINWOOD - Lawrence Birzer, 83, died Feb. 17 at Promise Regional Hospital in Hutchinson. Born Oct. 24, 1927 near Ellinwood in rural Barton County,he was the son of John Birzer and Isabell Frenzl. NEWTON - Virginia S. Shawver 78, died Feb. 17, at Bethesda Home in Goessel. Born May 21, 1932 in Larned, she was the Claude and Evelyn (Unruh) Wyman. On Oct. 11, 1953 she married Leslie Shawver in Larned. He preceded her in death. She enjoyed sewing and cross stitching. Virginia also enjoyed antique furniture restoration. Her family was important to her and she greatly looked forward to spending time with her loving family and many friends.

RAYMOND - Otis Blackburn, 87, died Feb. 12 at Raymond. Born Aug. 31, 1923 in Cushing, Okla., he was the son of Thomas Jefferson and Willie Mae Lowe Blackburn. A resident of Raymond most of his life, he was a retired truck driver and mechanic. On May 16, 1941, he married Altus Higgins in Pawnee, Okla. In 1964 he married Jenny Melton.
