CASTLE ROCK, Colo. - Joseph (Tony) F. Lane, 73, has followed His Shepherd and His God to His Eternal Home on Oct. 28, 2015, at his home surrounded by family and loved ones. His courageous journey with cancer was an inspiration to all. Tony's legacy is engrained in the character of all the lives he touched. He was the former Chief of Police in Great Bend. He was Castle Rock Chief of Police for 25 years, 50 years in Law Enforcement.
HALSTEAD - Dorothy E. Dick, 88, died Oct. 29, 2015, at Halstead. Born Nov. 5, 1926, in Mt. Hope, she was the daughter of Henry and Estella Blasi Rohling. On Nov. 23, 1948, she married Leonard Dick at Garden Plain. He died April 27, 2009. A longtime resident of the Zenda community, she was a homemaker and a licensed cosmetologist.
Dianne Cope, 72, died Oct. 29, 2015, at her home in Great Bend. Born Dec. 15, 1942, in Lambert, Miss., she was the daughter of Tommie A. and Frances (Brown) Goodnight. On May 28, 1961, she married Marvin Donald Cope in Great Bend. She was the office manager at Heartland Dermatology and was a seamstress.
PONCA CITY, Okla. - Floyd Douglas Griggs, 80, longtime resident of Ponca City, passed away Oct. 27, 2015, at his home. Born on Sept. 2, 1935, in Guymon, Okla., he was the son of Beaulah May (Thrall) and Earl Edward Griggs. He was raised in northwest Oklahoma and southwest Kansas, graduating from Deerfield High School in Deerfield in 1953. After high school he attended Kansas State University and in 1957, completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting as an Honors graduate and with Phi Kappa Phi honors. Mary Rose Craddock, 68, died Oct. 27, 2015, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center in Hutchinson. She was born May 9, 1947, at Great Bend, to Jober and Zelma Carson. She married Dale Craddock in March of 1995. A Great Bend resident, she was a homemaker.
