PRESCOTT, Ariz. - Flora J. Grace, 90, formerly of Great Bend, died April 15, at home in Prescott, Ariz. Born May 18, 1923, in Ruleton, she was the daughter of Antonio and Guadalupe (Mendez) Manzo. She attended school in Ruleton and Goodland.
SURPRISE, Ariz. - Gerald (Jerry) Leroy Dean, 79, passed peacefully on April 8, in Surprise, Ariz. Born July 30, 1934, in Denver, Colo., he was the son of Forest and Mary (Haubert) Dean. On Jan. 4, 1959, he married Vera Duncan. Jerry was a longtime resident of Denver, Colo. and then retired to a farm north of Hoisington until moving to Surprise, Ariz.
Grace M. Conard, 82, died May 3 at Hospice House in Hutchinson. Born Sept. 11, 1931, in Waverly, she was the daughter of Mervin and Norma (Dawson) Estep. She married Harold Smith. They later divorced. She then married Jack Conard. They later divorced. A resident of Great Bend since 1970, coming from Larned, she was a housekeeper for Fuller Brush and Central Kansas Medical Center and worked as a cook at the American Legion Argonne Post 180, all of Great Bend.
WICHITA - Constance Loree Withers Harmon went to join the Lord on April 28. Constance "Connie" Withers, born May 10 1932, was happily married to LC Harmon on Nov. 22, 1950, in Pratt, and they enjoyed an active life together for 61 years. Her loving husband, LC passed away on March 21, 2012 in Sun Lakes, Ariz.
NOWATA, Okla. - Barbara Ruth Warren, 72, of Nowata, Okla., passed from this life on April 26, in Tulsa, Okla. She was born July 3, 1941, in Wichita, to Shirley Ray Close and Ruth Irene (Brown) Close. She graduated from high school in Hutchinson and continued her education for the remainder of her life earning several degrees. On Dec. 13, 1974, she married Glenn Arle Dean Warren in Independence, and in 1997 they moved to Nowata, Okla. from Great Bend. Barbara enjoyed painting, studying her genealogy, and doing crafts. Barbara will be missed by all who knew her.
NOWATA, Okla. - Glenn Arle Dean Warren, 74, of Nowata, Okla., passed away on April 25. He was born on March 9, 1940, in Arkansas, to James Arle Warren and Ida Dean (Smith) Warren. He attended high school in Hutchinson. On Dec. 13, 1974, he married Barbara Ruth Hicks in Independence. They moved to Nowata in 1997. Glenn was a truck driver logging over 3 million miles without an accident. He was an avid motorcycle rider. NESS CITY - Wanita Marie Munsch Meis Reinert, 88, passed away on April 26, at Great Bend Regional Hospital. Born on Sept. 3, 1925, in Bazine, she was the daughter of Henry and Catherine Depperschmidt Munsch. She was a homemaker and long time resident of Ness City, Kansas.
