Maddox 40th
Brad and Rickee Maddox will celebrate their 40th anniversary on April 21. The couple was married on April 21, 1973 in a meadow at the Crane Farm in rural Geneseo. Their children are Benn Maddox and wife Shanna of Great Bend and the late Richard Maddox. They have two grandchildren, Gavynn Richard and Mylee Rae.
Stremel 57th
Jake and Peggy Stremel will celebrate their 57th anniversary on April 21 with a family dinner followed by a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Great Bend Senior Center. Hosts for the event will be their children, Susan and George Read and Lisa and Greg Richmeier. Friends and family are invited to join the family at the reception and bring a wedding picture (or a photocopy) to add to a display.
Marston 50th
Larry and Donetta Marston will celebrate their 50th anniversary with a family trip to be held later this summer.
Schmidt
Earl and Janice Schmidt will celebrate their 65th anniversary with a reception from 1:30 to 4 p.m. on March 30 at the First United Methodist Church, 2123 Forest, in Great Bend. Hosts for the event will be their children, Mike and Janet Schmidt of Cornelius, Ore., Dennis and Terrie Schmidt of Athens, Texas and Brenda Girard of Hays. The couple has eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Sekavec 25th
Lane and Mary Sekavec celebrated their 25th anniversary on June 23, 2012 with a Catholic ceremony at Holy Family Church in Eudora, followed by a reception, dinner and dance at the DeSoto VFW.
Bieker 50th
Kenneth and Linda Bieker will celebrate their 50th anniversary with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. on March 16 at St. John Catholic Parish Center, 122 E. 5th Street, in Hoisington. Hosts for the event will be their children.

Jim and Beth Dennis will celebrate her 60th anniversary on March 8 with a card shower. Beth Akers and Jim Dennis were united in marriage on March 8, 1953. They are retired grocery store owners and operators. Gary and Verlea Ross of Hoisington will celebrated their 50th anniversary on Feb. 14. The couple was united in marriage on Feb. 14, 1963 in Colorado. Betty Clement and Robert W. Bud Allen were married on Jan. 10, 1948 in Russell. They will celebrate their 65th anniversary with a card shower.

Ron and Bonnie Mink, formerly of Great Bend, will celebrate their 40th anniversary with a celebration at 4:30 p.m. on Dec. 29 at Springfield Botanical Center in Springfield, Mo. Hosts for the event will be their children, Jessica Nelson and husband Andy of Great Bend and Detective Grant Mink and wife Aubrey of Topeka. The couple has four grandchildren, Emilee Nelson, Victoria Nelson, Scarlet Mink, and Ivy Mink.
