He graduated from Kingman High School in 1949 and served in the United States Navy from 1950 to 1954. In 1955, he married Wilhelmia Roedel in Sherman Oaks, Calif. He was the owner and operator of Hearn's Tree Service. He has four children, John Hearn of El Dorado, Jeanette Bowen of Ridgeway S.C., Judy Schick of Lebo and James of LaCrosse; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren
O C McCrary will celebrate his 80th birthday on May 31. O C was born in a log cabin on Sugar Hill near Lincoln, Ark. to Doc and Zella McCrary. On Oct. 16, 1951, he married Wanza Lou Willis. The couple has six children, 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. A career with Halliburton took them to McPherson and Great Bend, where they raised their family. Since retiring to the Ozarks, he is devoted to his passionate love of the great outdoors and the catch of his life, his wife.
Loretta Morgenstern will celebrate her 90th birthday on May 31 with a card shower. A long-time resident of Hoisington, she was married to LeRoy Morgenstern on Feb.14, 1942. He died on Oct. 3, 1993. She has six children, 16 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Jeremy and Melanie Lewis announce the birth of their daughter, Delaney Piper Pace Lewis, on April 24 at Great Bend Regional Hospital. She weighed 5 lbs. 6 oz., and was 18 1/2 in. long. She has a big brother, Declan Thomas Tripp Lewis, who is 21 months old.

On May 15, 1950 she married Robert J. Wondra. He died on Dec. 19, 2009. She has seven children; 22 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
