Orville Monroe celebrated his 80th birthday on Oct. 26, with a Come and Go Open House. Born on Oct. 24, on a farm near Geneseo, he was one of 13 children. With the exception of time spent in Korea, he was employed in the oilfield, with the last 25 years spent as owner of his own small oil company, Big O Oil Company.
