CHS names court

CLAFLIN - Friday will be the 2010 Claflin Football Homecoming. This week the cheerleaders have been busy with preparations for the big event. On Sunday, Sept. 12 the cheerleaders sponsored a "White Wash" that allowed students to white wash paint a few of the streets in Claflin to help "kick off" the homecoming week. USD 112 receives grant

LORRRAINE - USD 112, Quivira Heights and Wilson Schools, are three of 4,000 libraries across the country selected by the National Endowment for the Humanities and the American Library Association to receive free hardcover editions of 17 classic books as part of the We the People Bookshelf grant program. The theme of this year's Bookshelf is "A More Perfect Union."

Ellinwood Police Department Monthly Report for August

Approximately 100 calls for service and 125 Officer initiated calls were received for the month of August. Officers responded to seven medical/fire calls and worked four non-injury accidents. three arrests and five criminal summonses were issued in the month of August.
