HOISINGTON - Hoisington Middle School volleyball continued its winning ways as it hosted and defeated the Ellsworth Bearcats on Thursday September 8th. The A, B, and C1 teams all won over the visiting and scrappy Bearcats. C2 lost their only match of the day.

HOISINGTON - HMS Volleyball got off to a great start on Tuesday when they traveled to Hays and faced Hays Kennedy, Dodge City Sacred Heart and Larned in a Quad on the campus of Hays High School. After too weeks of practice the Lady Cards came away with a slew of victories. The A team and B team both finished with 3-0 records accentuated by some fantastic serving. Welcome to the 6th edition of Marsh Musings. Today we are going to write about a common, yet often overlooked bird found around Cheyenne Bottoms and surrounding farmlands. Cattle egrets are very plentiful around Kansas, but we often take things in our own backyard for granted, including having the largest inland wetland in the U.S. right here in Barton County. This edition is dedicated to the many animals we overlook everyday.
