The Ellinwood Knights of Columbus are having a pancake and sausage breakfast on Oct. 10 from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at st. Joseph Parish Center, 110 W. 2nd. A free will donation will be accepted.
The Hoisington Volunteer Fire department and EMTs will hold a Open House from 1 to 3 p.m. on Oct. 3 at the fire and ambulance stalls on East Broadway.
CLAFLIN - The USD 112 Interim Board of Education met on Sept. 13. at the Quivira Heights Elementary/Junior High School Library for the September board meeting. Board members present were Bert Besthorn, Dawn Dolezal, Ron Etchison, Cherlyn Maier, Alan Siemer, Malcolm Shaw and Jim Vance.
