CLAFLIN - For school board appreciation month, Superintendent Steve Woolf thanked the board for their time and effort, and a job well done at their recent meeting.
The Ellinwood Chamber of Commerce will hold a member appreciation celebration beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 28 at the Ellinwood American Legion. The cost is $5 per person.

HOISINGTON - The city of Hoisington received very good news for the community when 6.7 acres of land were donated for residential development to its land bank, the Hoisington City Council learned at its recent meeting.

ELLINWOOD - The City of Ellinwood will purchase property at 511 E. Santa Fe to provide additional storage of city equipment, the Ellinwood City Council decided at its meeting on Tuesday. An open-front shed will be built on the property which is located east of the city shop.
