Sandhills are congregated in large numbers, and the whoopers give us a quick view of very special birds in the process (we hope) of re-establishing available population. BUSHTON - The Central Plains Middle School Renaissance council celebrated a successful first quarter on Thursday, Oct. 27. All students who were passing all classes with a C or higher and had not been referred to the office more than one time throughout the first nine weeks were eligible to attend. Ninety-one percent of all 6-8 grade students achieved this Renaissance goal and got to enjoy an afternoon off from classes with movies and popcorn.
ELLINWOOD -Ellinwood Grade School has just completed another very successful and fun week in observance of Red Ribbon Week. Guidance lessons over the past month have focused on drug and alcohol prevention. Besides learning the importance of being drug free, students had a good time with the theme days and winning prizes with their "Live Drug Free" wristbands last week.
