HOISINGTON - Hoisington High School student Austin Stout, senior, auditioned and got accepted to perform in the Southwest Kansas Music Educators Association district honor band. HOISINGTON - NetWork Kansas announced today that Hoisington was selected as a 2011 Entrepreneurship (E-) Community and has been awarded $75,000 in tax credits, enabling the Hoisington area E-Community to raise $100,000 to be loaned to local businesses. HOISINGTON - Hoisington residents will see a slight increase in sewer rates with January bills. The Hoisington City Council adopted the increase at its regular meeting on Monday after budget reviews last summer.
HOISINGTON - Hoisington Middle School was notified that they have received a grant for $4,500 to promote and educate students about composting, and they plan to use waste from the lunchroom for that. Students will be trained in waste management with real life and career applications.
