ELLINWOOD - The Ellinwood City Council has approved a contract with Benesch and Company engineering firm out of Manhattan to collect flood control data, minus some renegotiation of the legal portions of the contract.

TOPEKA - The Kansas Humanities Council announces six Kansas hosts for "Hometown Teams," a Smithsonian Institution traveling exhibition about sports and community coming to Kansas in 2015. The Ellinwood School/Community Library will be first. The show there will run from Jan. 31 to March 15, 2015.
