HOISINGTON - Through the years, Clara Barton Hospital Foundation members have been generously committed to helping Clara Barton Hospital, a not-for-profit Critical-Access Hospital, expand healthcare services and update equipment to meet the community's healthcare needs. This year was no exception. Contributions from the 2012-13 membership drive funded a Hematology Analyzer for the laboratory.
ELLINWOOD - Except for a few years, Richard Kimple has lived in Ellinwood nearly all of his life and invested of himself and his family in the community, including a business, as a volunteer, as well as providing generous support to the schools and area foundations. ELLINWOOD - The Ellinwood High School Forensics Team earned a trophy for 1st place in team sweepstakes at the KC Maverick Invitational at Kiowa County High School in Greensburg on Sat., Feb. 16. Nineteen schools competed in the meet, and Ellinwood beat 2nd place Sterling by a margin of forty points.

ELLINWOOD - Ellinwood High School recently attended the 2013 District Future Business Leaders of America Conference hosted by Canton-Galva High School. The students attended the conference and many placed in the competitive events. The next competitive event will be the State FBLA Conference April 3-5 in Topeka.

They were Mel Waite for four years, and Rob Fisher for one year. The ERC will soon begin planning a budget, hiring a director, and making plans for 2014.
