USD 355 has a new MS/HS principal for the upcoming school year. Shawn Henderson is currently the band instructor at Scott Community High School. Shawn and his wife Marie have two children, Mallory,7, and Nate, 5. The family enjoys being actively involved in their community. They also enjoy performing and singing/playing music together. Entry to all three was by breaking the door locks in the alley of the businesses. A laptop computer, cash and a hard drive were stolen Loss and damage was $1,300.
HOISINGTON - Hoisington Middle School was notified that they have received a grant for $4,500 to promote and educate students about composting, and they plan to use waste from the lunchroom for that. Students will be trained in waste management with real life and career applications.
