CBH Foundation scholarships are available

HOISINGTON - The Clara Barton Hospital Foundation is currently seeking applicants for its 2012 healthcare career scholarships. Identified as an ongoing goal for the Foundation, each year the Foundation desires to present several individuals with scholarships. Scholarship amount varies with the merits of the application and funds available from the endowments. The four scholarships to be awarded are: The Jonathan Witt Scholarship, The Sadie Stalcup Scholarship, The Verda Lane Nursing Scholarship and the Dr. Robert Moore Scholarship. Application deadline for all scholarships but the Dr. Robert Moore scholarship is April 1.

High school students participate in infant simulation

CLAFLIN - Equipped with a real car seat, four infant simulators made their way home with Central Plains High School - Claflin students since the first of the year. A total of 17 girls in the Human Growth and Development class each spent a weekend discovering what it is like to be a parent.

Dolly Parton Imagination Library arrives in Ellinwood

ELLINWOOD - Ellinwood preschool children are invited to hop aboard Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, a program designed to give free quality books to children under the age of five. Book your child a ticket to the Imagination Library at a special kick off event, scheduled for Saturday, March 10 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Ellinwood School/Community Library.
