KAYs Club hosts fund raiser, food drive

HOISINGTON - Earlier this month, the Hoisington High School KAY Club held a "Can a Teacher Day." Each class brought canned goods to fill in a space the size of a classroom door. If the class brought in enough canned goods to completely fill the area, they were allowed to "can" the teacher and skip their class for the day. KSU Ag Profitability Conference to be held in Hoisington

HOISINGTON - The Barton County Extension Council will host the 2011 Kansas State University Ag Profitability Conference on Feb. 16 at the Knights of Columbus in Hoisington. Registration starts at 9 a.m. and the program runs from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. A noon lunch will be served. The cost for the conference is $5 if registered by Feb. 7, $10 if registered by Feb. 14 and $15 at the door. Register at the Barton County Extension Office or call 620-793-1910.

Colson named to CBH position
