LARNED -- Larned's Erin Smith delivered the game-winning hit in the Indians ' 3-2 victory over Lyons. Smith's single drove home Haley Skelton for the game-winning hit. The Lions won the nightcap 11-0. Lyons is 5-2, 5-2 CKL and Larned is 2-8, 2-8 CKL.
HALSTEAD - Larned's Evan Skelton struck out seven batters to pitch the Indians to a 7-1 victory over Halstead. The Indians completed the sweep with an 8-5 baseball victory. Defending CKL champion Larned (4-0, 4-0 CKL) is tied for first place with Nickerson.
LARNED - If individuals would like to help Larned's Central States Scout Museum, which sustained total damage from a recent fire, they can make out their tax-deductible contribution to United Way of Central Kansas, 1125 Williams, in care of the Museum and United Way will issue a check.
LARNED - Larned High School's drama department will present their spring play, "Cinderella and the Candy Kingdom," at 7 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at the Larned Community Center. The performance is produced by special arrangement with Pioneer Drama Service, Inc., Denver, Colo.
