LARNED - The reading program, "One World Many Stories," has started. Sixty-one young readers have signed up, including 16 middle-school readers.

LARNED - Camp Pawnee and the Fort Larned National Historic Site would improve access for pedestrians and cyclists under a $2.6 million grant application for a proposed Pawnee Valley Community Trail Project.
LARNED - Improving diets and increasing physical activity has been a major focus of the Larned Pride program.
LARNED - Pride programs in Larned and Stafford earned special recognition during a Kansas Pride Day recently at the Larned Community Garden. Honorees each received a plaque from the state Pride program on behalf of its local Pride organization.
LARNED - The Larned Chamber of Commerce and Pawnee County Economic Development Commission celebrated a year of success at its annual banquet Thursday at the Larned Community Center. Voting for the Employee and Business of the Year was done by Chamber members.

Larned will feature several Christmas-related events Saturday in town and at Fort Larned National Historic Site.
LARNED -- The Larned Indians roared into the semifinals of the Gene Keady Classic with an 87-35 victory Monday. Larned (2-0) will meet Ellinwood Friday. Larned led 23-12 after one quarter and 46-20 at halftime.
PRATT - Hoisington High's three-time state champion Brandon Ball led three Cardinal wrestlers to first place at the Pratt Tournament. The Cardinals scored 160 points and finished third behind Wichita Northwest and Augusta.
Larned High featured four first-team selections for the Central Kansas League football team. Hoisington and Kingman tied for the CKL West Division title.
