Larned players, team earns awards

WAUPUN, Wis. -- Larned catcher Tyler Stelter and infielder-pitcher Landon Erway earned All-Tournament honors at the American Legion Class AA Central Plains Baseball Regional. Stelter (6 for 10) and Erway (8 for 15) led the Indians' hitting in the regional. Erway won a game against Menasha, Wis. and was unbeaten (4-0) in post-season play.

Pawnee Co. attorney falls to challenger

Doug McNett, director for the Center for Counseling in Great Bend, upset reigning Pawnee County Attorney John Settle, in Tuesday's Republican primary and it wasn't close. McNett had 1,012 votes (65 percent) and Settle settled for 548 votes.
