LARNED – A Genealogy Workshop, open to the public and co-sponsored by the Fort Larned Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), the Kansas Society DAR and the Santa Fe Trail Center is scheduled Nov. 15 at the Santa Fe Trail Center, 1349 K-156 Highway, Larned from 9:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
LARNED - As a way to raise awareness of Breast Cancer prevention, the Larned Correctional Mental Health Facility sold 109 breast cancer awareness T-shirts to raise funds for breast cancer awareness in their community.
The Larned Lady Indians won the Hoisington tournament (199) by beating Hoisington (201) at Lake Barton Golf Course north of Great Bend. GREAT BEND - The Larned Juvenile Correctional Facility (LJCF) recently participated in Great Bend's sixth annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes relay race. The event is a playful opportunity for men to increase awareness in their community, as well as to raise funds to combat violence against women.
