LARNED - Imagine being able to watch your favorite movie or listen to a CD during an MRI. This soon will be a reality for patients at Pawnee Valley Community Hospital with the new CinemaVision technology.

LE SUEUR, Minn. - Iola's Legion baseball team qualified for Saturday's semifinals in the Class AA Central Plains American Legion Baseball Regional. Wisconsin Dells, Wis. beat Iola 17-2 in Saturday's semifinals. Iola finished third in the regional with a 32-8 record. Iola beat Rancho 2-1 from Las Vegas, Nev. in Friday's quarterfinals.
LARNED - With 114 parking spaces originally allotted for Pawnee Valley Community Hospital and Pawnee Valley Medical Associates when the new hospital building was completed, no one would have imagined that three years later the hospital would have already outgrown their parking needs.
LARNED - Colleen Wolf opened the July 21 meeting of the Larned Quilting Bees guild with a note from Janis Lewis of Poulsbow, Wash., thanking all of the members for teaching her how to quilt. Lewis has made a quilt for a fundraiser for Dr. Okey's orphanage in Nigeria. Wolf read "The Last Will and Testament," for quilters.
