LARNED - Three Larned High seniors and 13 juniors were inducted into the Larned Chapter of the National Honor Society recently. Kayla Langdon, NHS president, opened the ceremony, followed by a prayer by Derik Trimmer.
LARNED - "A Family Reunion to Die For" was presented by Over Actors' Anonymous of Larned High School in partnership with Prairie Arts Unlimited.

LARNED - The Larned Juvenile Correctional Facility Advisory Council met Aug. 2. Shelia Rodriguez, LJCF administrative assistant, has submitted minutes of the meeting.

LARNED - Four Larned High students have been recognized as Student Spotlight winners for September.
LARNED - The Larned Juvenile Correctional Facility (LJCF) recently recognized the employees and volunteer of the quarter for the months of October, November, and December, 2014. These individuals were selected from nominations submitted by their peers; nominees are chosen based upon factors including job performance, dependability, competence, initiative, work ethic, and achievement.
FORT LARNED - Fort Larned National Historic Site is off to a great way of celebrating the National Park Service Centennial - whether you are an outdoor enthusiast or not - you'll want to celebrate too!
PRATT - Two Larned High wrestlers came within one victory of qualifying for the Class 4A state wrestling tournament at Salina. Larned's Hunter Fitzpatrick (106) and Jeremiah Slattery (182) advanced to the consolation finals at the Pratt wrestling regional before losing.
Larned's Scholar's Bowl competed at regionals at Ulysses. Team members are from left, Lauren Zerr, Josh East, Reed Russom, Kwinter Hartshorn, Wyatt Davis and Kate Schoeder. Andale, Rose Hill and Pratt qualified for state.
Larned High's Ally Aldrich won the 3-point contest at the Pratt Tournament.
