Larned splits with Lyons

LARNED -- Larned's Erin Smith delivered the game-winning hit in the Indians ' 3-2 victory over Lyons. Smith's single drove home Haley Skelton for the game-winning hit. The Lions won the nightcap 11-0. Lyons is 5-2, 5-2 CKL and Larned is 2-8, 2-8 CKL.

LARNED - Ace pitcher Isiah Perez threw a five-hit shutout and Larned's baseball team swept Lyons 5-3 and 8-0 in Friday's Central Kansas League doubleheader.

Larned baseball sweeps Halstead

HALSTEAD - Larned's Evan Skelton struck out seven batters to pitch the Indians to a 7-1 victory over Halstead. The Indians completed the sweep with an 8-5 baseball victory. Defending CKL champion Larned (4-0, 4-0 CKL) is tied for first place with Nickerson.
