Greta Bauer will represent county at Sunflower Spelling Bee March 12

Chlumsky and Alnore re-open Martial Arts Academy

Nathan Chlumsky of Larned and Michael Alnore of Rozel will be re-opening the Larned Family Israeli/Okinawan Kobra Kai Karate and Mixed Martial Arts Academy. The school is located at 505 Broadway, next to Vanley's, in Larned. Mr. Chlumsky will serve as the head instructor of the Academy and Mr. Alnore will be the assistant head instructor at the Larned Academy. Tribune personnel remember a friend and colleague

Jerry Buxton, the Great Bend Tribune's reporter covering Pawnee County, died Saturday at the Hospice House in Hutchinson after a brief, but valiant, battle with cancer.
