The Diamonds to return for a special Christmas concert
Back by popular demand, The Diamonds will be performing in Larned, a special encore performance on Sunday, Dec, 5, at the Larned Community Center beginning at 7 p.m. Sponsoring this concert is Prairie Arts Unlimited as part of their performing arts series. The Pawnee Valley Community Hospital Auxiliary will sponsor "Craft Day" on Saturday, Dec. 4, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in downtown Larned. This year's "Craft Day" promises to be bigger and better, and the community and area will enjoy the variety that the show will offer.

To wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving at Larned High School, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes invited both staff and students to enjoy a hot breakfast in the LHS gym on Friday, Nov. 19. Quilting Bees meet, discuss upcoming events
Members of the Quilting Bees guild met on Nov. 16. In the absence of the president, Virginia Bauer and Alice Clapsaddle chaired the meeting. Announcements included the Dec. 7 Christmas dinner and party at 6:30 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church. Members are to bring a dish to share and a gift to exchange. The snowflake fat quarters will be drawn as well as the friendship blocks.

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Mary Beth Herrmann, RN, registered nurse, administrator and health officer for the Pawnee County Health Department in Larned, was one of 10 winners selected Friday, Oct. 22, at the Hyatt Regency Crown Center, Kansas City, Mo., from several hundred Nursing the Heart of Healthcare award nominees.
