Quilting Bees meet

LARNED - The guild met Tuesday, May 17 with Diann Morell chairing the meeting. A thank you note was read from Alice Clapsaddle. Final plans were made for the annual free Quilter's Celebration to be held on Saturday, June 4 in the fellowship hall of the First Presbyterian Church, 8th and Morris, Larned. This popular quilting event will include demonstrations by the guild, a feature presentation by Susan Gray from Radium, Peddler's Korner, silent auction of hand crafted quilting items, door prizes, free magazines and books, and a potluck luncheon. Pawnee Valley administrator Hughes will leave

LARNED - John Hughes, Pawnee Valley Community Hospital administrator, will leave his position at the hospital after serving 16 months. Hughes began his duties as hospital administrator Jan. 5, 2015. Hughes will continue to work until June at Pawnee Valley.
