LARNED - Larned High School students, staff, and community members gathered around the flagpole at Larned High School for the nationally recognized See You at the Pole gathering Sept. 28. The group gathered together to pray for their school, their community, and the world in which they live.
LARNED - David W. Neal, 40, was convicted on one count of battery of a mental health employee and three counts of trafficking contraband in a care and treatment facility in Pawnee County District Court.
LARNED - Grace Lutheran Church and the Sandstone Pumpkin Patch at 914 W. 2nd, Larned, is sponsoring a benefit for the Orphan Grain Train on Sunday, Oct. 9. A 2 p.m. family pumpkin picking will be followed by a Wisconsin style fish feed from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Mayors from Pawnee County cities, Pawnee County commissioners and hospital and construction officials helped break ground Sunday at Pawnee Valley Community Hospital. The $18.3 million hospital will be completed in 2013.
