The NCAA had their Selection Sunday Show this past Sunday evening. CBS paid big money for the right to telecast and produce this show telling the country who the participants in this years' NCAA basketball championships would be. They dropped the ball. It didn't bounce!

Storm is coming

Members of the Barton County Storm Special Olympics team line up for the Kansas Special Olympics basketball and cheerleading tournament in Hays Thursday night at Fort Hays State University Gross Memorial Colosseum. The toured runs through Saturday and involves thousands of athletes and volunteers.

Barton Blazers win Halstead tournament

The fourth grade Barton Blazers placed first in the Halstead MAYB tournament on Saturday. They defeated the Junction City Jays 30-17 in the championship game. The Blazers are 16-3 for the winter MAYB season. Their next tournament is the Winter Finale in Wichita in two weeks. Players include, from left, Mason Moore, Maddox Spray, Colton Brack, Karson Kern, Braden Griffith, Connor DeLong, Drew Heinz, and Kaiden Hoffman.
