How about the immigrant/settlers of Celtic heritage? Shouldn't they be offended with the Boston Celtics? Oh my gosh, and the "Fighting Irish" of Notre Dame? History too? Personally I am offended that not one school, not one organization has picked me ...

Darth Vader Again!

Head coach Bill Belichick, of the New England Patriots, is in the Super Bowl - again. Belichick is the Darth Vader of professional football. The guy, the team, that most fans love to hate. At the Mike: Jan. 18

The saying is over-used. Almost a worn out cliché. But we have definitely hit a stretch where is it almost true. The saying goes 'It's Kansas, if you don't like the weather, stick around for 24 hours and it will be different.'

Charlie's Inside Corner: January 5

Alabama versus Georgia. An all Southeastern Conference final for the national championship. Not so fast. What about UCF? No, that's not some dot.com website. It is the University of Central Florida, a school that only the most savvy of sports fans has heard of. This dinky little school has 65,000 students and on Monday beat No. 7 Auburn in the Peach Bowl, 34-27, to finish the year a perfect 13-0. They were excluded from the Four-team National Playoff system.
