Admission free to see BCC take on Coffeyville in playoff action tonight

The Barton Community College basketball programs will begin first round action of the Region VI playoffs tonight, as both teams will be taking on Coffeyville Community College. The men's team, the No. 6 seed in the region, will play their game at home versus the No. 11 seeded Ravens in a 7 p.m. tip at the Barton Gym with free admission for all fans. The Lady Cougars, being the No. 11 seed in the women's bracket, will travel to Coffeyville for a 7 p.m. tip at Nellis Hall against the No. 6 Lady Ravens.

Parity? Not So Much

Much is made about the parity that exists in college basketball, especially in Big 12 Men's play. True enough but if we take a look at the Western Athletic Conference, (WAC) in Kansas high school play, that parity is mostly missing, especially in boys action.
