Did you see the man, dressed in black, that led the West Virginia Mountaineers in dismantling the Kansas Jayhawks Tuesday evening in Morgantown, West Virginia? The slick-backed hair, the scowl on his face, that "mafia-man" look at courtside? To a lot of college basketball fans he's Darth Vader. To Mountaineer fans he's affectionately known simply as "Huggy Bear".
Titletown. That is a name some cities bestow upon themselves if multiple sports teams win their respective championships. As of now Kansas City is the only city left with hopes of claiming that title currently.
What is a fan? Is it one of those silly-looking guys with no shirt on, waving a "We're Number One" foam finger in the air? Is it the person dressed in an ugly costume, portraying some kind of Oakland Raider? Is it an out-of-control youngster storming the court, knocking people and things out of their way as they clamor to get to.......where? No, I don't think so.
