The Hoisington High School Wrestling team ran its dual record to 11-0 this past Thursday evening, and picked up the Championship Plaque from the Stafford Duals Tournament. The team was outstanding all night as they defeated Bluestem 70-7, Chaparral 65-6, Lincoln 76-6, Nickerson 75-3, and Stafford 63-16. Those in attendance were able to see some outstanding matches on the evening as there were several State Place winners wrestling each other.

Lyles Lashley has received an unbelievable amount of coaching honors in his nearly 20-year career. The most prestigious of them came when he was chosen to be a member of the most recent class to the National Junior College Athletic Association Track and Field Hall of Fame released this past week. He was one of eight people to earn the honor and the only coach in the group.
