NHRA drag racing series makes stop in Great Bend this weekend
The National Hot Rod Association West Central Division Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series will be competing at Great Bend's S.R.C.A. Dragstrip starting on Friday and concluding on Sunday.
Hoisington Middle School seventh-grade girls take first
ELLSWORTH - The Hoisington Middle School track team competed in Ellsworth on Tuesday. The seventh-grade girls took first place by a 32-point margin with 125. BCC athletics rescheduling Barton Community College's home softball game against Butler scheduled for Wednesday has been rescheduled for Wednesday, April 27, at 3 p.m. The Cougars will now be playing Butler in El Dorado today at 3 p.m. Hoisington High School athletics postponement The Hoisington High School baseball game against Russell originally slated for Monday has been rescheduled for April 21.

Drag Strip this past weekend as Glen Amerine nearly shared the winner's circle with his son Craig, who was the runner up in Top Sportsman, and brothers battled in the final round for the Stock Eliminator championship.
