Cougars dominate first half cruising to 24-point victory over Planet Athlete

Racing out to an early nine point lead the Barton Community College men's basketball team never looked back in a 94-70 victory Friday over Planet Athlete Academy at the Brown Mackie Classic held in Salina. The Cougars held Planet Athlete to 30% first half shooting while dominating the boards to lead by eighteen at the break then extended the lead to twenty-eight before coasting the final ten minutes of play. BCC women hand Central Methodist loss

Full court pressure defense turned the tide Friday as the Barton Community College women's basketball team won handily 70-55 over the junior varsity squad from Central Methodist University in the opening game of Hutch Pawn and Jewelry Classic at the Hutchinson Sports Arena. Barton improves to 4-2 on the season heading into Saturday's 1:30 p.m. game against 4-3 Murray State College to wrap up the two-game classic.

LINDSBORG – The Barton Community College Wrestling team competed this past Saturday at the fifth-annual Swede Open held in Lindsborg. Facing a field of NAIA and NCAA Division II ranked wrestlers, the Cougars came through with a 16-28 overall individual record and one fourth-place finish.
