Panther wrestlers place at Douglass

DOUGLASS - Great Bend wrestlers Drew Liles (113) and George Weber (132) placed runner-up and Jacob Meeks (182) finished fourth at the Douglas Wrestling Tournament. The Panthers scored 80.5 points and placed eighth.Newton's Grant Treaster edged Liles 4-2 in the championship match after Liles won his first two matches. Andover High's Gunner Gentzler defeated Weber 8-4 in the championship match after Weber won two matches.

Otis-Bison boys, girls sweep Fairfield Falcon Classic

LANGDON - Otis-Bison's championship act featured stars Maddie Wiltse and Maitland Wiltse. Maddie Wiltse dominated inside with back-to-back 29-point scoring performances. The Otis-Bison girls downed South Haven 52-26 in the championship game. Cora Anderson scored 12 points and Sheridan Ewy added nine points on a trio of 3-pointers.

Pawnee Heights sweeps titles at Natoma tourney

NATOMA - The Pawnee Heights boys and girls basketball team swept the Natoma Tournament for the first time in school history. The Tiger boys (4-0) downed Ransom-Western Plains 55-36 to finish the round-robin 3-0.
