Lady Oilers capture another Hilltop title

The Central Plains Oilers passed their first test with flying colors. The Oiler girls built a 27-point lead and coasted past Wichita Life Prep 53-38 to capture its fourth consecutive Barton Hilltop Basketball Classic.

LHS girls win Pratt Tournament of Champions

PRATT-The Larned Lady Indians are winners of the Pratt Tournament of Champions for the third, and final time, as they edged by the Ulysses Tigers here Saturday afternoon 41-36. Larned had previously won the tournament in 1995 and 1996, and now in 2017. It is the final time this tournament will be played, at least for the near future, as play will not resume in 2018.
