ST. JOHN - Ellinwood High School won the girls' competition at the Keith Blide Track and Field Invitational on Friday afternoon.
GARDEN CITY - Midway through the spring season, the Great Bend High School tennis team turned in another dominating performance, winning first place out of eight teams at the Garden City Invitational.
BUHLER - For the first time this season, the Great Bend High School track and field team competed in two meets in one week.
The woes of the Great Bend High School girls' soccer team continued on Friday evening.
Great Bend High School's softball team was in complete control of Game 1 during a doubleheader against Salina-Sacred Heart on Friday evening, winning 6-0.

HUTCHINSON - Tied with Garden City High School with one event to go at the Hutchinson swim meet, the Great Bend Lady Panthers took second place in the 400-yard freestyle relay to finish second at the meet.
KINGMAN - The Larned High School girls' track and field team captured second place at the Kingman Invitational on Tuesday evening.
LARNED - Hoisington High School swept a softball doubleheader at Larned on Tuesday.
STERLING - The St. John-Hudson High School boys' golf team finished second at the Sterling Invitational on Monday.
DODGE CITY - The Great Bend High School boys' junior varsity tennis team finished second out of five teams at the Dodge City JV Invitational on Monday.
How did the Great Bend High School Lady Panthers' softball team respond to adversity? After all, they were swept by powerhouse Maize last Friday afternoon at the Great Bend Sports Complex.
With Scott City High School's Drew Kite and Great Bend's Bryce Beck wedged in a pitcher's duel, runs came at a premium on a brisk, cold Tuesday afternoon at the Great Bend Sports Complex.
