Hoisington coach named Middle School Coach of the Year

The Hoisington Cardinal wrestling team continues to have news worthy announcements about its staff and team members. This past week the team learned that High School Assistant and Middle School Head Coach Anthony Leiker was named Middle School Coach of the year by the Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association.

Central Plains boys win Class 2A opener

MANHATTAN – The No. 3 ranked Central Plains Oilers performed like state veterans to roll past Jackson Heights 67-42 in the Class 2A state basketball tournament Wednesday.

2015 Panther Bowling State results

The Lady Panthers finished in 6th place at the 5A-1A State Tournament on Thursday at North Rock Lanes in Wichita. Sophomore Allie Brodrick was the lone medalist for the Panthers. Brodrick rolled games of 168, 236, 160 for a 564 series which earned her the 12th place medal. The Lady Panthers State Team members include: seniors, Addie Soukup and Abby Rose; and sophomores, Allie Brodrick, Kylynn Keeler, McKenzy Black and Elsi Miller. Junior Hanna Pfeifer and freshman Jordan Vsetecka were alternates.
