HILL CITY - Ellinwood High School's cross-country teams swept a Class 2A regional meet on Saturday afternoon.
OTIS - Thirteen seconds into an Eight-Man Division-II District 7 game against Wilson High School, Otis-Bison senior tailback Dylan Wissman found the end zone on a 57-yard scoring run.
ST. JOHN - The St. John High School football team almost let a 22-point halftime lead slip away, but held on to beat Fairfield on Friday night.
SALINA - Just when it seemed like Great Bend High School was poised to overtake Salina Central on Friday night, a special-teams breakdown helped the Mustangs gallop past the Panthers.
For the second straight year, the Great Bend High School boys' cross-country team captured a Class 5A regional runner-up trophy while hosting on a Saturday morning at the Barton Lake Golf Course.
