HUTCHINSON - The Great Bend High School Lady Panthers were digging it. They were pouncing at every ball hit their way during a volleyball match with Hutchinson on Thursday evening at the Hutchinson triangular.
After capturing its first win last week, the Hoisington High School football team will be looking to follow that up with a Mid-Central Activities Association victory at home against Ellinwood on Friday night.
Thanks to two goals from Enrique Guyton and another from Joaquin Garcia, the Great Bend High School boys' soccer team captured its second Western Athletic Conference win of the season on Tuesday evening.
Great Bend girls soccer fell 10-0 to visiting Manhattan Monday at Cavanaugh Fields. The loss drops Great Bend to 3-10-1 on the season. The Panthers are in Salina this evening for non conference action againt Salina South.
NEWTON- For the third year in his Great Bend career, Grant Harris will be making a trip to the state tennis tournament. For several weeks the Panther senior has been battling tendonitis but it never proved to be an issue at Monday's regional tournament in Newton.
