Larned athletes win two events at Kingman

KINGMAN - Larned's Katie Fischer won the high jump (5-2) and teammate Cierra Nord captured the 3,200 meters (14:16.28) at Tuesday's Kingman Track Invitational. Fischer placed second (5-2) in the 4A state high jump last year.

RUSSELL - Otis-Bison's Blake Bahr and Central Plains Oiler Alex Barton were double winners at the Wilson Track Invitational held at Russell High School. Otis-Bison placed second (92) and Central Plains third (91) behind champion Ell-Saline (137).

No. 1 ranked Hesston beats Oiler tennis

CONWAY SPRINGS - No. 1 ranked 3A Hesston swept past No. 3 ranked Central Plains 7-2 in a Mid-Kansas tennis triangular. Hesston won five of six singles matches and two of three doubles matches to earn the state's top ranking from the Kansas Tennis Coaches Association.
