NEWTON­- Today's boys' regional tennis meet at Newton has been postponed to Monday due to the threat of severe weather. Coaches will meet a 9 a.m. with matches starting around 10 a.m.

Panther baseball against Hays rained out

HAYS- Due to inclement weather, Thursday's GBHS baseball game against Hays at the Diamond Classic has been cancelled. Plans to reschedule the game are pending. The Panthers are scheduled to face Goddard and Word of Life at 1 and 3 p.m. on Friday, May 8 at Larks Park in Hays.

Great Bend defeats Wichita Southeast in double OT

WICHITA- Facing sudden death in a second overtime slot, Jessica Loera made the most of the opportunity and nailed the game winning goal in a 1-0 victory over Wichita Southeast Tuesday evening. Tuesday's win marked the second of a back-to-back for the Panthers following home competition on Monday against Thomas More Prep.
