Great Bend baseball will be postponed at Hays Tuesday

HAYS - Weekend rain and the forecast for more rain has postponed the scheduled doubleheader at Hays for the Great Bend baseball team. The Panthers were scheduled to play Thomas More Prep and Scott City.

Great Bend salvages baseball split on Tuesday

A six-rally saved a split for the Great Bend High School baseball team. The Panthers rallied from a 4-2 deficit with a six-run sixth inning for an 8-4 victory Tuesday over Garden City. The Buffaloes won the opener 10-6 behind four runs in the final two innings.

Larned golfer earns top honors at Lake Barton

ARTON COUNTY - Larned High's Colton Massey earned his second consecutive medalist honor with a 78 Thursday at the Hoisington Golf Invitational at Lake Barton Golf Course. The players battled winds gusting past 30 mph and hard and fast greens.
